WHAT IS IT?

ReFirme™ ST is an exciting new treatment utilizing the synergy of light and radiofrequency energy to achieve improved skin tightening compared to previously available non-invasive treatments. This technology is exclusive to the ReFirme™ ST from Syneron.

The goal is to reduce the signs of aging skin:

WHO IS A CANDIDATE?

This treatment is for men and women ages 30 and over who want improved tone and less wrinkles without the downtime of more invasive and aggressive therapies. After a careful assessment of your skin we can help you determine if this is right for you. This procedure can be done in isolation or as part of a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation that may include advanced skin care and other treatments such as Facials, Microdermabrasion and FotoFacial RF™.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT ACTUALLY LIKE?

The treatments are simple, office-based procedures with little or no down time. Unlike other systems designed to non-invasively tighten skin, ReFirme™ ST treatments are relatively comfortable and require no medications, topical anesthetics or “patient toughness”. The treatment area is covered with a thin layer of cool, clear gel and the damaged areas of the face and neck are treated. This application of light and electrical energy stimulates the production of your own new collagen and shrinks existing collagen in the dermis. Each treatment takes about 30-45 minutes. Each pulse lasts less than half a second and causes a very tolerable sting with a warming sensation. The changes in the skin are incremental with each treatment and most clients show best results after a series of five treatments separated by a three-week period. This provides sufficient time between treatments for your skin to begin the repair of damage caused by aging and sun exposure. All skin colors can be treated and you do not need to delay treatments if you have had some sun exposure or tanning. Patients need to understand that gentler treatments are designed to stimulate your skin to rejuvenate itself. Consequently, the process takes time and the rate and degree of improvement is different in every patient.

HOW LONG AFTER TREATMENT CAN I RESUME NORMAL ACTIVITY?

You can usually return to all activity within one hour of treatment.

• People who have a pacemaker, internal defibulator or a seizure disorder

• People who have taken Accutane in the last 6 months

• People who have a history of Keloid scarring

• People with a history of skin cancer in treatment area or family history of melanoma

• People who have open skin lesions or uncontrolled and recurrent cold sores

• People who want dramatic skin tightening and wrinkle reduction

• People who are on medications that increase your light sensitivity or compromise your healing response

• Anyone who is pregnant

• People who have poorly controlled diabetes

• People who are allergic to Nickel
